It's always more fun to have people around who enjoy something as much as you do, and watching Xena:WP is no exception. Being on a mailing list is very handy because not only do you meet other people who have similar interests to yours, but you can find out information that you might otherwise miss out on. For example, I'd never have known that USA took Xena off of weeknights if I hadn't checked my e-mail and seen what was going on. You can also get fanfiction and some lively debates from lists. Most lists have some rules, such as being nice to other people, no flaming, stuff like that--more than fair, and they can be a lot of fun. Chatrooms, on the other hand, are great places to while away the time. I like to chat when I'm in the mood to talk to someone but not in the mood for actual human interaction. I've compiled a list of mailing lists and chatrooms that should keep all of you busy. This page is currently under construction, so check back from time to time so that you don't miss anything.

abardtale

This is a Gabrielle list that is friendly to fans of the other characters including Hercules and is a Joxer-friendly zone. Fanfic is welcome, including subtext, and the list is age rated at 21 and up. This list is out of Onelist, and to subscribe you can visit the www.onelist.com site and sign up that way.

aditl: A Day in the Life

An anything goes list rated at 17 and up, also at Onelist.

All Xena Fans

This is a list where you can meet other Xena fans and discuss episodes, and there are surveys and quizzes from time to time. Rated 13 and up, at Onelist.

AcademyofBards

Another Xena list at Onelist rated 13 and up.

Chakram

This is a mailing list about Xena that is moderated (that is, sent to a list manager or owner for approval). If you want to subscribe, send an e-mail to majordomo@frontier.net and put in the body of the e-mail the words subscribe chakram or, if you want a digest (a once a day or twice a day sending of a group of e-mails) put the words subscribe chakram-digest. Don't put in the period after digest. You should get a confirmation e-mail and then instructions and maybe a FAQ.

MacConnor

This is a list dedicated to Reneé O'Connor, the actress who plays Gabrielle, in all of her various roles and incarnations. ROC fans rejoice! I'm on this list, myself, and it is made up of a fine bunch of people. Xenaverse

This is one of the most well-known Xena lists around. This list is unmoderated, and you can sign up by sending an e-mail to majordomo@mlists.com with the words SUBSCRIBE xenaverse in the body of the letter. They also have a digest version.

Xena_Buffy

This list is brand-new as of the end of December of 1999/beginning of January 2000, and is for fans of both Xena: WP and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This is a discussion list that can be found at onelist.com, and according to the list founder "'Angel' & 'Hercules: The Lengendary Journeys' is not considered off topic." Sounds like a good place to hang--I might just have to check it out! Head on over to www.onelist.com and sign up!

Chatrooms

I dropped into this site's chatroom unannounced and found about ten people there, all having a grand old time. It's not often that I find anyone in any chatroom, so I was suitably impressed. What more do you need?

Amphipolis Village

These chatrooms are bulletin-board type rooms where you post and refresh. I haven't spent enough time in any of them to comment on the types of posts or chatters that congregate there, so good luck. The site itself is pretty cool, so at least drop in on them.
